Ashanti Shequoiya, also known by the name Ashanti was born on 13 October 1981 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a US singer as well as songwriter. Ashanti's talent was first discovered as a teen. She was signed to Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. The same year she also appeared in Fat Joe's What's Luv? Both Fat Joe's What's Luv? In the case of Foolish and the track What's Luv at Number One, she became the first female artist to be featured in two tracks in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top ten of the United States. It was the first female artist to have both of the Top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 in America, with Foolish at number one and What's Love? The debut album of Ashanti was made available by Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. on the label in 2002. The Declaration the fourth studio album released on June 3 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released both on radio as well as digital) dropped on the 16th of October, 2008. She was a part of the films Christmas in the City as in Army Wives. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British rapper Aitch to accompany his track Baby on the 10th of March 2022.
